Small Things

Recently, I have been at a weird place. Next week, we find out if Barry’s cancer has come back. I suspect so because I think I see a lump on his neck. I could be wrong. It could just be swollen lymph nodes from the interminable cold he has.

What can I do? I came up with an obvious answer yesterday: get rid of a few things. So I cleaned out the bottom drawer of the fridge. I was amazed at how much better that made me feel.

Things do not always need to change for one to feel better. Radical change is not always necessary. Sometimes, just doing something simple or accomplishing something small is sufficient. The bigger picture is not always fixable, but sitting around being miserable is not needed.
